The Royal Mail has requesting the Parish Council to help raise the level of public awareness of the volume of Scam Mail being delivered to households.
Since 2014 over 4 million suspect items have been intercepted before delivery and whilst the Royal Mail and postal workers take every precaution, some mail will still get through.

Community Needs Assessment
A Parish Council initiative, funded by RES Wind Farm, has been launched to help identify the future needs and ambitions of the community.
Questionnaires have been circulated throughout the Parish. Please send in your responses in the pre-paid envelope as soon as possible and no later than November 5th 2018.

The parish benefits from community funds arising from renewable energy developments, in particular:
Tedder Hill Wind Farm Fund
The 2018 round of funding was launched at the Annual Review Meeting held in early June.
The closing date for receipt of applications was 30th September 2018.
NOTE: Applications for funding of projects or individual items costing less than £500 may be made at any time throughout the year via the Community Chest

Burton Pidsea Wind Farm (operated by Energiekontor)
will open early in 2018 however applications costing less than £500 may be submitted to the Community Chest.
Tree and Hedgerow Planting Opportunity.
As part of the formal planning agreements for the Tedder Hill wind farm £10,000 was awarded for tree and hedgerow planting within 5km of Roos Post Office.
Although the wind farm became operational in late 2013, applications so far have been low in number and to date, ONLY about £2000 has been awarded.
HEYwoods are now welcoming formal applications from private and public landowners for new tree, woodland and hedgerow planting initiatives.
The deadline for submission of applications was 31st July 2018. Decisions were made in late 2018
EAST COAST COMMUNITY FUND
*This fund is administered by Grantscape - Milton Keynes.
Applications are made on-line. The area of benefit is a coastal strip approximately 5 miles deep stretching from Flamborough to Kings Lynn.
Coastal Communities Fund
The outcomes of various consultation meetings have now been processed and schedules for potential development are announced. Some will benefit the parish.
Roos Parish Local Community Transport - The Hedon Shuttle
Note that ERYC consultation continues on alterations and possible reductions in Council funded transport services.
The Hedon Shuttle - Bus Service CB 3 currently runs from Burton Pidsea and Roos to Hedon.
Its schedule has recently been modified and now calls at Preston (Sandhills Garden Centre) and Bilton (Asda).
If your property lies adjacent to Roos Beck, then Roos Parish Council recommends that you acquire a copy of "Living on the Edge" by either downloading from www.gov.uk or from the download panel.
The booklet explains the rights and responsibilities of those living adjacent to a watercourse.
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is the overall risk management authority for Roos Beck.
