SOUTH HOLDERNESS MEDICAL PRACTICE FLU VACCINATIONS PROGRAMME AUTUMN 2021
The Practice has announced their Flu vaccination programme as follows:
Hedon - 11 -17 September: Withernsea - 18 - 19 September: Keyingham 20 September: Patrington 20 September.
Patients can help by: Booking online if they are able to do so.
Waiting until they receive an invitation.

LATEST PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
At the June Council Meeting it was resolved that future meetings be held on a bi-monthly basis until further notice.
The Minutes of the meeting held on 9th August will be published in due course.
The next meeting is scheduled for 11th October 2021
ERYC VILLAGE TASK FORCE WALKABOUT
Parish Council representatives Cllrs. Winter and Dodson were accompanied by officers of the East Riding Council’s Street-Scene team on a recent walkabout.
They have identified areas requiring attention such as verges, overhanging trees and shrubs, potholes, litter etc.

FUTURE ROAD CLOSURES ANNOUNCED
ERYC have given notice of carriageway maintenance work in Tunstall commencing on 6th September 2021 which will prohibit through traffic on certain roads.

WIND FARM COMMUNITY FUNDS 2021
ROOS COMMUNITY WINDFARM FUND: The Fund is open for applications until Friday, 15th October 2021.
TEDDER HILL COMMUNITY WINDFARM FUND: The main fund will close on Monday 15th November. Applications of up to £500 can be made at any time via the Small Grants fund.

Near Miss Accidents and Speeding
There is increasing public concern about car parking at various points throughout the village. The ERYC Highways Department does not perceive this to be a problem as there is no history of any incidents or accidents occurring. It is important therefore that any minor bump or scrape to vehicles, or, a near miss is reported to the Highways Authority. Contact: Email: email@example.com

Flood Prevention and Roos Beck
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is the risk management authority for Roos Beck

The booklet explains your rights and responsibilities as a Riperian Owner.
Presently the Beck is running freely, however, winter is approaching and there is need to be vigilant. If properties are believed to be at risk, then sandbags are available.

Roos Parish Local Community Transport - The Hedon Shuttle
The Hedon Shuttle - Bus Service CB 3 currently runs from Burton Pidsea and Roos to Hedon.
Its schedule has recently been modified and now calls at Preston (Sandhills Garden Centre) and Bilton (Asda).
Royal Mail: Scammers are not always on the internet or telephone
The Royal Mail has requesting the Parish Council to help raise the level of public awareness of the volume of Scam Mail being delivered to households.
Since 2014 over 4 million suspect items have been intercepted before delivery and whilst the Royal Mail and postal workers take every precaution, some mail will still get through.
